Fisherman’s Wharf offer exciting whale watch trips with commentary from on-board naturalists. Cruise through Monterey Submarine Canyon to see the Gray Whale, Killer Whale, Humpback Whale, and Blue Whale live and breed near the coast.

Kayaking. Set within the nation's largest marine sanctuary, Monterey is an exciting destination for a sea kayaking experience. Paddle through the sheltered waters of Monterey Harbor, explore the expansive kelp beds along Cannery Row in the National Marine Sanctuary and marvel at the diverse sea life. Monterey State Beach and Lover’s Point are popular launch spots for sea kayaking.

Scuba Diving. Monterey offers some of the most outstanding beach diving in the country. Lover’s Point cove is one of the most popular beach diving points in the county and San Carlo Beach is a favorite dive spot.
